Brief:
As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality software products by conducting thorough manual and automated testing. Your responsibilities will include evaluating the functionality, performance, and security of web, mobile, and desktop applications. By proactively identifying and addressing defects early in the development lifecycle, you will ensure a seamless and reliable user experience while maintaining the integrity of our applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This expertise will be essential for collaborating with DevOps teams to streamline development processes and ensure consistent quality and reliability across all software releases.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams to design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated tests across multiple platforms to ensure the application functions as expected.
- Identify, track, document, and report defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues and enhance product quality.
- Ensure complete test coverage, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, ensuring software reliability.
- Contribute to improving testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure applications perform optimally under high load and maintain responsiveness.
- Create and manage Postman collections for API endpoint testing to validate backend services thoroughly.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate testing workflows within CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
- Adhere to Agile practices to ensure fast and reliable delivery across the development lifecycle, guaranteeing high-quality results through continuous integration and deployment.
Must Have
- Experience: 3+ years in QA for web and mobile applications.
- Skills: Proficiency with tools like Selenium, Appium, Postman, and Swagger.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Travis CI, or similar tools.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, and LoadRunner.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to have
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues with minimal guidance.
- Strong attention to detail, focusing on test coverage, accuracy, and high-quality results.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive quality assurance.
- Experience in using Jira or similar project management tools to efficiently manage and track tasks, including requirement gathering, roadmap creation, storyboard development, defect reporting, and bug fixes tracking, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest testing tools, trends, and best practices.
- Willingness to go above and beyond assigned responsibilities, contributing to the team’s success in a fast-paced startup environment.
